FRIDAY, noon: Assassin Muay Thai Boxing Gym members have little more than a week left to prepare for their end-of-year show.
The show, at the Sarson Centre on November 29, will be the biggest of the year with 15 home fighters on the bill.

Kyah Chamberlain is expected to continue the club's tradition of quality female fighters as the 16-year-old moves up into the senior ranks.

Instructor Mark Barlow said: "Kyah has been destroying all the juniors and now she has to step up and take on a 22-year-old Daniela Tedesco from Burnley Thai.

Daniela is a strong, aggressive puncher and will be a tough debut in the senior ranks for her."

The Assassins have two Polish fighters competing, Andrzej (Anjay) Potempka and Marcin Kaminski.

Anjay, a good technical fighter, faces Jay Marson from Benfleet, near London, while Marcin tackles Johnny Townsend from Burnley Thai, a club with a reputation for excellent fitness.

Junior Aaron watson (16) will also be moving up when he fights for a cadets title against Liverpool's Joe Boffey with an evenly-matched five-round battle forecast.

Tickets are on sale from LD Clothing, Nicko's Fish Bar, Melton RFC and any Assassin member.
