THURSDAY, 3pm: The battle of the unbeaten top two produced a seven-goal thriller.
Leics Under 10s Division 12
MELTON FOXES CUBS 4 QUORN HOUNDS 3
Cubs' 15-month home unbeaten run looked under threat as Quorn took an early lead with quick movement and good finishing. It was all Quorn, but man-of-the-match Tarris stopped everything.

Cubs also started the second half slowly and from a corner Quorn scored again after a deflection.

But Cubs changed their formation and roared back, Kotarba pushing forward and pulling one back. Thurley then tapped home the equaliser after great attacking play.

Quorn retook the lead, but the energetic Lovegrove scored his first of the season with two minutes left and Thurley again was the matchwinner with a low shot.

Foxes: J. Tarris, A. Kotarba, F. Lewis, H. Hall, C. Lovegrove, A. Starkey, J. Thurley, M. McGarvey, A. Farmer.

Leics Under 10s Division Four
WIGSTON YOUTH LIONS 1 MOWBRAY RANGERS CUBS 3
MOWBRAY preserved their unbeaten start in all competitions with a superb win at leaders Wigston to go top.

Defenders Thorn, Barny and Howard had to be alert, while Mogg, Anderson and Walker supported lone striker Cragg well. After a flowing team move, Walker put Cragg through to shoot low past the keeper.

Thorn saved smartly and Howard tackled well to deny Wigston, but after slack marking, Wigston scored from close range.

Mowbray knew they had to improve after half-time and brought Kenny Jones on to play alongside Cragg. Thorn saved again, but Mowbray took control and Cragg ran from the halfway line, beat three players and scored.

Walker and Cragg put through Anderson who clinched the points.

Cubs: Thorn, Mogg, Barnard, Howard, Anderson, Walker (c), Cragg. Subs: Riddle, Jones.

Leics Under 15s Division D
ASFORDBY AMATEURS 3 LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO 0
AMATEURS were the stronger side before half-time, but despite chances from Young, Martin, Adams, Tilley and Warrington, the half ended goalless.

Fifteen minutes after the break, Amateurs took a deserved lead through Warrington's 20-yard strike. Wright's fine clearance fell to Martin who beat the last defender and then the keeper.

The hosts pressed with Young narrowly heading Adams' cross wide, while good defending from Gillespie, Wright, Power and Lennon denied Dynamo.
Warrington found Martin who put the ball in the bottom corner to cap a fine all-round display.

Amateurs: C. Naylor, C. Lennon, J. Wright, J. Power, M. Reed, Z. Warrington, T. Adams, R. Tilley, R. Young (c), R. Martin, J. Upton, P. Lambert, S. Gillespie, K. Cubitt.

Leics Under 15s League
SHEPSHED DYNAMO 0 MELTON FOXES 1
A HARD-fought, but deserved victory in tough conditions.

They were ahead inside a minute when Booth's whipped cross from the right was deflected in by a defender as Anderson's pace caused Shepshed problems.

Gackowski's snap-shot from Knatt's corner was the closest Melton came to extending their lead before half-time.

After the break Anderson beat two defenders and deserved a goal, but was denied by a fine block. The tireless Sharples contained Dynamo and Foxes had penalty appeals waved away when Clarke's cross to Booth was handled.

Foxes: J. Picker, C. Power, T. Jones, J. Hyman, S. Gackowski, J. Knatt, J. Sharples, O. Anderson, J. Clarke, C. Allen, W. Booth, T. Jinks.

MOWBRAY RANGERS 3 KEGWORTH 4
RANGERS were shaded by well-organised opponents, but deserved at least a draw.

Poor communication gifted Kegworth an early goal and a good finish made it two despite good midfield battling by Jones, Wardhaugh, Atkinson and Carr.

Long-range strikes either side of half-time put Kegworth 4-0 up before Ed Fryer found Kyle Carr who finished in style.

Sub Peter Fowkes made an instant impression when his header flashed just wide before his great shot made it 4-2. Fryer converted a penalty for 4-3, but full-time came too soon for Mowbray.

Rangers: A. Gilbert, L. Darlington, J. Laughton, E. Miller, J. Perfect, D. Wardhaugh, N. Jones, K. Carr, L. Atkinson, L. Platkiw, E. Fryer. Subs: P. Fowkes, D. Cooley, A. Adams.

Leicester Under 14s B Division
MELTON FOXES 2 AYLESTONE PARK 94 1
FOXES' passion inspired them to an excellent victory.

Park dominated early on, but without testing keeper Ollie Riddell.

Charlie Madden had Foxes' first chance and Matt Howlin shot wide after good work by Thomas Czuchai, Aaron Squires-Nugent and Harry Pryor.

After 30 minutes Howlin was one-on-one and slipped the ball under the keeper.

Ricky Newton was instrumental and John Pears forced a good save.
Ten minutes after the break, Squires-Nugent's brilliant pass found Howlin unmarked to head home.

Howlin netted again, but it was controversially ruled out. Park made it 2-1 with five minutes left, but Melton finished the stronger.

Foxes: O. Riddell, A. Hill, J. Dolby, T. Bendle, A. Squires-Nugent, T. Czuchai, R. Newton, H. Lovegrove (c), C. Madden, M. Howlin, H. Pryor, J. Pears.

Leicester Under 14s Division C
LOUGHBOROUGH DYNAMO 1 ASFORDBY AMATEURS 2

AMATEURS edged the battle for second place with both sides coming into the game level on points.

Jordan Ring and Jordan Blythe had early chances before the game evened up. Asfordby went ahead when tireless captain Ross Dunlop chested the ball down, turned and shot past the keeper.

Macauley Irish made a double save, while centre-halves Jack Carvell and man-of-the-match Mitchell Noble dealt with most balls through the centre.

Loughborough pressured after half-time and a poor clearance gifted them a deserved equaliser. Irish made another good save and after manager Paul Lyons pushed Blythe up front he put Asfordby ahead from Dunlop's assist.

Amateurs had chances to seal victory, but Loughborough fluffed a late chance to level.

Amateurs: J. Blythe, J. Carvell, L. Cooley, R. Dunlop (c), C. Hebb, M. Irish, S. Lyons, L. Miles, M. Noble, M. Odiam, J. Ring, L. Sharpley.

Bethany Dexter and Hannah Burgon set up Lauren Smith's opener.

Defenders Shannon Coupland, Jessica Baker, Bethany Dexter and Jade Heeley did a fine job and keeper Rosie Burrows was outstanding, but Kingsway levelled just before half-time.

After the break, Kingsway scored twice, but Rangers hit back when defender Jessica Baker sent a great shot into Kingsway's top corner before Burgon set up Smith's equaliser. Kingsway scored again, but Sophie Rankin levelled again from Baker's corner.

Kingsway retook the lead with a fine goal, and with only two minutes left player-of-the-match Bethany Dexter's super run and goalbound shot was touched into the net by a midfielder who was ruled offside.

ASFORDBY AMATEURS ACES 4 WHITWICK STRIKERS 4
ACES snatched a late 4-4 draw to stay second in the table.

Having outplayed Whitwick the previous weekend 5-0, Asfordby began confidently, but an even first half ended goalless.

Five minutes after half-time Whitwick won possession and crossed to the far post where the ball was turned in. Within four minutes Aces were stunned by two more goals.

Broad shot across the area and inside the left post before player-of-the-match Paige Gunn's brilliant free-kick made it 3-2. With 15 minutes left Whitwick made it 4-2, as Aces' midfield pushed forward.

Broad, Machin, Burton and Toon all went close before Broad's shot deflected in. In a thrilling finale Gunn blasted a free-kick which the keeper parried to Toon who netted a dramatic equaliser.

Aces: M. Newton, P. Gunn, S. Pickering, N. Master, A. Harcourt, C. Broad, P. Machin, O. Taylor, R. Burton, H. Toon, N. Solanki, L. Brewer.

Park retook the lead just before half-time with a well-executed move.
