Hamilton LTC Ladies off the mark

WEDNESDAY, 8.25am: Hamilton Tennis Club's ladies' first team finally managed a winter league win after a series of draws and losses.
They beat Stoney Stanton six sets to two in a very close match, Rosie Gildove and Margaret Roskell and Sue Corfield and Jenny Golland winning two sets each.

Scores: Rosie Gildove/Margaret Roskell D 6-3, 2-6; W 6-4, 6-3. Sue Corfield/Jenny Golland D 2-6, 7-5; W 7-6, 7-5.

*Hamilton once again came second best to Market Harborough when Hamilton ladies second team lost 7-1 to Harborough Seconds.

Scores: Chris Stevens/Margaret Heggs L 5-7, 0-5; D 5-7, 6-2. Margaret Wright/Jean Galloway L 2-6, 2-6; L 3-6, 4-6.
