TUESDAY, 2pm: Stoke Rochford GC Seniors played a Texas scramble as this week's Winter Warmer series.
David Goodwillie, Greg Ewart and Malcolm Edwards won with 67 (net 63) from Dave Hudson, John Broughton and Stoke senior debutant Mike Nixon (69 net 63.9).

Third went to Wilf Stephenson, Charles Donnison and Joe Lindley (69 net 64.1) and Duncan Bennett, Ernie Armstrong and Terry Garland fourth with 69 net 64.5.

After three rounds Greg Ewart leads overall with 11 points, two ahead of Joe Kime and Roy Rowe with Charles Donnison and Brian Keightley on eight.

*In the Lincolnshire Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal competition Stoke Seniors raised more than any other seniors section with £560 and qualified them to send three players and their secretary to the county finals at Woodhall Spa GC.

Always a tough test, Woodhall was made tougher by a strong wind as 34 points won the day. Stoke's best score was John Wright who came fourth with 29 points.
