Dolby aiming for final flourish at Jerez

FRIDAY, 4pm: Melton racing driver Craig Dolby will be trying his utmost to end the season on a high as the Superleague Formula series reaches its climax this weekend.
The fledgling championship has its final round at Spanish circuit Jerez with the 20-year-old sitting handily-placed in fifth in the overall standings.
Dolby, from Melton, is driving for Belgian football side Anderlecht, one of 18 major clubs from across the world to field a car in the championship.
Car problems have spoilt the second half of Dolby's championship after a stunning run of three successive runners-up spots put him in contention for the title earlier in the season.
His form in such a powerful car and against ex-Formula 1 drivers has alerted several teams to his potential.
If he was to stay in Superleague for another season he could yet be the target of a bid from a rival team during the championship's transfer window.
Championship leaders Beijing hold a handy lead heading into the final 2008 event in southern Spain with 59 points separating them from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven and Liverpool FC only a further three points adrift.
Only Beijing, PSV, Liverpool and AC Milan are in contention to claim the inaugural championship, but with 50 points on offer for a race victory, Dolby could still fire Anderlecht up into the top three providing he can get consistency from Team Astromega car.
