Make It Happen is now in its fourth incredible year and we are inviting sports clubs, community and voluntary groups to once again bid for a share of the cash and make a real difference.
To date we have supported an amazing 67 local community projects to the tune of nearly £32,000.
Last year's winners ranged from cancer, MS and Mencap support groups and projects for the young and elderly to an e-learning project, marching band and girls' rugby teams.
This year, as it is both an Olympic and Paralympic year, the judges will be keen to see applications with a sporting theme to help get more people more active, but all imaginative schemes will be welcomed.
David Hamdorff, managing director of Ragdale Hall Health Hydro and Thermal Spa, said: "We are delighted to be continuing with the scheme into its fourth year. Make It Happen now has the feel of something that has made a real difference."
Michael Cooke, editor of the Melton Times, added: "It takes just five minutes to enter so don't hold back. At the very least Make It Happen will raise your profile but, thanks to Ragdale Hall, many will also receive a substantial cash boost. Fill in the entry coupon below, check the simple rules and get in touch. Good luck."
To apply clubs and groups simply have to tell us how they would use a sum from the community chest to Make It Happen.
All previous applicants are welcome to enter. Please send a picture for us to scan or a jpg attachment to support your application if you can.
Over the next eight weeks we will feature all the applicants and their projects, and readers will be given a chance to vote for their favourites before the finalists are named.
A presentation evening will be held at Ragdale Hall in early December.
